Yes to both. You own your articles, data and metadata; we are the platform, not the owner of your journal. You can export everything in standard formats (JATS XML, OAI-PMH, article files and metadata) at any time and move elsewhere. There is no lock-in, and your DOIs remain permanent either way.

A journal title and scope, an editorial team of editors and reviewers you can invite, your peer-review model, and an open-access licence. A publication fee with a Stripe or PayPal account is optional. An ISSN is helpful but not required to begin. We guide you through it, and we never fabricate ISSNs or DOIs.

If you prefer to own the software, the perpetual licence starts at $7,900 as a one-time payment. Custom development and migrations are quoted per project. There are no per-DOI charges.

Yes, on the technical side. Scopapers generates the sitemaps, JSON-LD schema, Google Scholar and Dublin Core metadata, and JATS and OAI-PMH exports that discoverability and indexing workflows require. Actual inclusion in Google Scholar, DOAJ or any other database is decided by each service under its own requirements and review process, which no platform can guarantee. We make sure you meet the technical bar and are ready to apply.
